Our Origins

Founded in Bradford in 1972 as Clark Textile Accessories, the company later became known as J Clark & Company. Its founder, Jack Clark, built his manufacturing expertise in the wool industry of the North of England.

From the beginning, we supported local wool mills with a reliable and competitive service, specialising in machine repairs, component refurbishment, and replacement parts for combing and carpet machinery.

In 1985, we moved to larger premises in Shipley to support a growing workforce, which by then included Jack’s son and daughter.

Innovation and Product Development

A key turning point came with the introduction of disposable plastic spare parts. This led us to develop specialist expertise in moulding pins and needles and, in response to customer demand, to build a strong reputation for high-quality pinned products.
